Nur & Poro are the WORST Hentai studios on the planet. I don’t understand how they continue to be in the business.

This hits close to home. While I buy their product, problem with Queen Bee is that over the years they’ve cut scene panels out despite claiming virtual accuracy (they used to at first). They’re pretty inconsistent overall with their business model which hasn’t seen significant improvement. Its interesting you mentioned PoROere but what most outside Japan don’t know is that virtually most of their titles are available in Full HD whereas with Queen Bee (a sub studio of Media Bank) its on a case by case basis. Queen Bee went HD with the Summer 2019 release of Episode 2 of Sakuramiya Shimai no Netorare Kiroku, not Episode 1 (still in SD today), back in May 2021.
They wouldn’t get nowhere as much criticism if their titles were available in Full HD. I have some of their HD releases and its night and day in image quality. That’s what personally gets me tight. Its when your preview screenshots (which I personally don’t look at before a release of a title) are of higher image quality than the actual product itself (and of course the original source material). That’s extremely backwards. Animation quality is subjective. However image quality is not.

On top of that, whatever feature they decide to re-release in HD gets released hella late. At least with Pink Pineapple or Lune Soft/Lune Pictures, HD Digital versions release at least a month after the physical DVD. Overall its on their parent company Media Bank. While overall they’re my Top company, their mindset is stuck in the past. They still treat HD like a luxury whereas new studios like Torudaya and even established ones like PoROere and ZIZ Entertainment know its the standard.
Overall its 2025 and every company in the ero anime business needs to get with the times. Its the “risk” worth taking. Live action AV releases features on Digital SD/HD/4K before DVD all the time. They sit there and wonder why Tsuma Netori Zero and Iribitari Gal were very big sales successes last year.
The irony is that vicariously because of them, it led to Live 2D studio Survive skyrocketing in popularity in Japan as their production style is very similar BUT they’ve fully embraced the Full HD standard.
However. Reason they keep getting work is for two very big reasons. One is due to that art accuracy of the original source material. Two is that with them everything is on the table. No other studio (except Survive and Mary Jane) would ever do a Shounen ga Otona.

A.F.A.I.K. it is the studio “Blue Bread” which makes hentai for Queen Bee, MediaBank & Showten. Titles from Queen Bee/MediaBank are released in DVD format while Showten releases are in 1080p format. For example-Ikumonogakari The Animation & Mesudachi The Animation were released in 1080p whereas Ano Ko no Kawari ni Suki na Dake & this one were released in 480p DVD format. So it’s Queen Bee & MediaBank that are to be blamed for Non-HD releases.

“Studio” was used erroneously. Media Bank is the Manufacture (or publisher). Queen Bee is the Label. Same concept with live action JAV i.e. Soft On Demand (Manufacture) and its various Labels like S1 (creampie no) and SOD Star (creampie ok).
