That’s the point. As in the CG set, the main character Ayaka “98 cm” Sekimoto is a pushover as stated by her mom to a fault but from Ayaka’s own view, she pushes herself to be “genki” or cheerful no matter the situation…

As I thought, they mixed up the order of events, even changed the situation of two of them in this episode, added new dialogue and omitted quite a bit of context i.e. first episode was supposed to start with main character Ayaka at her on site interview, her phone call with her mom about her job and situation, etc. Typical of animation adaptations.
I hope this would get at least two more, but its doubtful as this episode actually ends at barely the half way point of the CG set.
Still great of Bomb Cute Bomb to animate a superb CG set.
